Are you thinking of supporting our congregation? Good to know: our congregation has ANBI status (RSIN 803448326), the Dutch status for registered charities, so if you pay tax in the Netherlands your gift may be tax-deductible.

The rules below apply to people who pay income tax in the Netherlands.
One-off gift
You can deduct your gifts in your income tax return, but not the full amount. There is a threshold of 1% of your income, with a minimum of € 60. Only the part of the gift above that threshold is deductible. There is also a maximum of 10% of your income.
An example: if you earn € 25,000 a year and give € 600 to charity, your threshold is € 250. You can then deduct € 350.
Periodic gift
With a periodic gift the whole amount is deductible — the threshold and the maximum do not apply. In the same example you deduct the full € 600. For tax purposes, a periodic gift is therefore more attractive.
To deduct your gift as a periodic gift, the following applies:
- The institution you give to must be an ANBI — which our congregation is.
- Since 1 January 2014 a notarial deed is no longer required; a private agreement between you and the congregation is enough. We are glad to help you with it.
Legacies and bequests
You can also include the congregation in your will, with a bequest or as an heir. Because we are an ANBI, we pay no inheritance tax on what you leave us — so your gift goes entirely to the work of the sisters. Please feel free to contact us if you would like to talk about this.
